4.1 General Safety Guide
For your own safety and that of your equipment, always disconnect the power plug
(by pulling the plug, not the cord) and remove the battery pack from the POC-IPSM90
system for any of the following conditions:
 The power cord or plug is frayed or otherwise damaged
 Any substance is spilled on the POC-IPSM90 system or POC terminal/host
device
 The POC-IPSM90 system or POC terminal/host device has been dropped or the
case has been damaged
 The POC-IPSM90 system or POC terminal/host device needs servicing or
repair
 To clean the POC-IPSM90 system or POC terminal/host device
 To remove/install any internal parts
4.2 Thermal Management
To protect the battery pack from overheating, use/charge the battery in accordance
with the instructions provided in the user manual.
4.3 Disconnect the Power
The only way to completely disconnect the power is to unplug the power adapter
cable. Ensure that at least one end of the power adapter cable is within easy reach to
enable unplugging when necessary.
Warning! 1. Temperatures that are too high or too low may damage the battery.
2. Do not place the POC-IPSM90 system on a pillow or other soft
material when powered on as the material may prevent heat
dissipation, causing the system to overheat.
Warning! The power adapter cable is equipped with a 3-wire grounding plug (a
plug that features a third grounding pin). This plug will fit only a
grounded AC power outlet. If you are unable to insert the plug into an
outlet because the outlet is not grounded, contact a licensed electrician
to replace the outlet with a correctly grounded outlet.
Do not ignore the purpose of the grounding plug.
Warning! Never push objects of any kind into the openings of the equipment case.
This may cause fire or electric shock.
Never place anything on the equipment before turning the system off.
Never turn on the equipment if any of the internal or external
components have been removed.
Using the equipment when open or missing components may damage
the equipment.
