Advanced PCI/PnP Settings
Select the PCI/PnP tab from the setup screen to enter the Plug and Play BIOS Setup
screen. You can display a Plug and Play BIOS Setup option by highlighting it using
the <Arrow> keys. All Plug and Play BIOS Setup options are described in this sec-
tion. The Plug and Play BIOS Setup screen is shown below.
Clear NVRAM
This item is to clear NVRAM during system boot. The choices are No or Yes.
Plug & Play O/S
Set this value to allow the system to modify the settings for Plug and Play operating
system support. The default setting is No.
Option
Description
No
The No setting is for operating systems that do not meet the Plug
and Play specifications. It allows the BIOS to configure all the
devices in the system. This is the default setting.
Yes
The Yes setting allows the operating system to change the inter-
rupt, I/O and DMA settings. Set this option if the system is running
Plug and Play aware operating systems.
