L2TP Tunnel Configuration
L2TP is an unencrypted protocol.
To open the
L2TP Tunnel Configuration
page, click
L2TP
in the
Configuration
section of the
main menu. The L2TP tunnel function allows you to create a password protected connection
between 2 LAN networks. The router activates the tunnels after you mark the
Create L2TP
tunnel
check box.

Description
Mode
Specifies the L2TP tunnel mode on the router side:
•
L2TP server
– Specify an IP address range offered by
the server.
•
L2TP client
– Specify the IP address of the server.
Server IP Address
IP address of the server.
Client Start IP Address
IP address to start with in the address range. The range is
offered by the server to the clients.
Client End IP Address
The last IP address in the address range. The range is offered
by the server to the clients.
Local IP Address
IP address of the local side of the tunnel.
Remote IP Address
IP address of the remote side of the tunnel.
Remote Subnet
Address of the network behind the remote side of the tunnel.
Remote Subnet Mask
The mask of the network behind the remote side of the tunnel.
Username
Username for the L2TP tunnel login.
Password
Password for the L2TP tunnel login.
