Actuator mounting
The actuator can be mounted horizontally along the damper or vertically. This should be specified at order
placement. The damper can also be mounted underneath in a horizontal, left or right handed orientation.
Examples are shown below.
For dampers with Horizontal orientated blades (These would be coded
H
)
Horizontal Left (
LH, AMH
)
Horizontal Right (
RH, AMH
)
Vertical Left (
LH, AMVD
)
Vertical Right (
RH, AMVD
)
Note: When the nominal duct size is 280mm or less, wall mounted dampers in the Horizontal actuator
orientation shown above will require an extended actuator bracket in order to prevent the actuator fouling
on the AFS bracket and rail. Floor mount dampers will always use the standard bracket.
In all cases the actuator will protrude over the spigot edge by 50mm. The actuator will be spaced away
from the spigot to allow fitment of duct.
Note: The actuator will be level with the edge of the spigot on dampers of 420mm nominal duct height. All
dampers smaller 420mm than this will have actuator protrusion over the edge of the damper spigot.
