QUICK START GUIDE
BASIC INSTRUCTIONS
Power Up (boot) for the first time.
Remove right side back panel door to access power connector port. Connect included power cord to device
and then to an outlet.
Device will automatically boot/start up once connected to power through the provided adapter/cord. (If device
does not automatically boot, follow the procedures in the section for “Using the internal power button.”)
Using the internal power button (boot / wake / sleep / shutdown).
Hold the tablet in landscape orientation with the camera on top. The internal power button can be accessed with the
included hex key (or similar object) through the small round hole on the bottom edge of the tablet.
To Boot:
Press and hold the internal power button for 2-3 seconds until the Intel logo is displayed.
To Wake/Sleep (if the tablet is booted, but the screen has gone to sleep):
Press and release the internal power button. The screen will reactivate.
To Shutdown:
Press and hold the internal power button for 2-3 seconds until the power off options menu is displayed. Tap the
desired option on the screen.
Prevent screen from going to sleep.
Step 1:
Go to SETTINGS
DISPLAY. On the right side of the screen, tap “Sleep.”
Choose the desired time out option. (The screen will go blank after the chosen period of time, if the device is not
charging (see step two below).
Step 2:
Go to SETTINGS
DEVELOPER OPTIONS. In the upper right corner of the screen, switch the toggle button to the
“On” position. Acknowledge the message by tapping “OK.”
Tap the checkbox for the “Stay awake” option to enable it. The device will not go to sleep while plugged in and
charging.
Connect to your wireless network.
Go to SETTINGS
Wi-Fi.
Switch the toggle button to the “On” position.
From the available selections on the right side of the display, choose your local wireless network. If the network is
secured, enter the necessary password.
Connect peripheral devices.
The PROPORT allows you to easily connect peripherals through one of its many available I/O ports. To access the
various ports, you will need to remove one or both of the back panels.

The left side provides full-size HDMI, 2 full-size USB, and a GPIO port.

The right side provides 2 full-size USB, micro-USB, audio/headphone jack, power connector, and MicroSD card
slot.
Follow the device manufacturer’s recommended setup for your peripheral device.
