To select all anchor points and segments in a path
1
Select the Direct Selection tool
or the Lasso tool
.

Drag a marquee around the entire path.
If the path is closed and filled, you can also click inside the path with the Direct Selection tool.

To change the length or angle of straight line segments

Select the anchor point on either end of the line segment.

With the Direct Selection tool
, drag the anchor point to the desired position.
If you’re simply trying to make a rectangle wider or narrower, it’s easier to select it with the Selection tool and resize
it using one of the handles on the sides of its bounding box.

To reshape curves

Select the anchor point on either end of the curved segment you want to adjust.
Direction lines appear on the selected anchor point, as well as on adjacent anchor points.

With the Direct Selection tool
, drag the anchor point or a direction point.

To move anchor points using the keyboard

Select the anchor point.

Click or hold down any of the arrow keys on the keyboard to move a pixel at a time in the direction of the arrow.
Hold down the Shift key in addition to the arrow key to move the anchor point 10 pixels at a time.
