Choose Separate from the Output
pop-up menu.

Select the Printer option as the desti-
nation, and click Print.
To save the separations you selected:

Select the separations you want to
save. See Step 6: Set separation options
for more information.

Choose File
>
Print, or return to the
Print dialog box if it is still open.

Choose any print options. See Print-
ing artwork for more information.

Choose Separate from the Output
pop-up menu.

Select the PostScript File option as the
destination, and click Save.

Accept the default filename, or enter
another name for the separation. If you
use the default filename, Illustrator
appends the filename with .ps to indi-
cate it is a PostScript file. For example,
the separations file created for the doc-
ument NewArt is named NewArt.ps.

Click OK.
