• In the Gamma field, enter the same
target gamma setting you used in
Adobe Photoshop to calibrate your
monitor. (To check the value, in the
Control Panels folder of the System
Folder, double-click the Gamma icon;
the Adobe Photoshop Gamma Control
Panel appears.)
Note:
Adobe Photoshop uses a color
model developed by the Centre Interna-
tionale d’Eclairage (CIE) to convert
images between RGB and CMYK modes.
The CIE color models are international
color definition standards that are
device independent and are supported
by PostScript Level 2.

Compare the on-screen color chart to
the printed color bar.

In the Color Matching dialog box,
click any color swatch that does not
match your printed color sample.
The Color Picker appears. The Original
swatch shows the current RGB approxi-
mation from the Color Matching dialog
box. The New swatch changes as you
adjust it to match the CMYK color on the
printed color bar.
