Select the folder where you want to
save the EPS file and enter a name for
the file.

Choose Illustrator EPS from the
Format pop-up menu, and click Save.

Choose from the following options:
• Select the kind of preview image you
want to save with the EPS file.
• Select an Adobe Illustrator compati-
bility option. Keep in mind, however,
that certain features, such as gradients
and layers, are not supported by earlier
versions of the Illustrator file format.
• If the Illustrator document contains
placed EPS files and you do not want the
files included in the Illustrator docu-
ment, deselect the Include Place EPS
files option.
• If you do not want to view a thumb-
nail of the EPS artwork in the Illustrator
Open dialog box, deselect the Include
Document Thumbnail option.
• If you plan to retrieve the EPS file
using Adobe Fetch™, enter the Informa-
tion field values.
