Using the Clipboard to import and
export artwork
You can use the Clipboard as a limited
method for transferring selections of
artwork between an Illustrator docu-
ment and another application. You can
use the Clipboard to:
• Copy text between Adobe Illustrator
and most word-processing and page
layout applications.
• Copy selected paths between Adobe
Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, Adobe
Streamline, Adobe Dimensions, or
Adobe Premiere. Paths are copied to
the Clipboard as PostScript language
descriptions, which you can then paste
in the desired application.
• Copy artwork from Adobe Illustrator
to the Clipboard as bitmap PICT images.
You can paste bitmap PICT images in
most Macintosh applications.
