To change the leading value from the
keyboard:

Select any type container or type path
using a selection tool, or select a block
of type using the
type tool .

Choose one of the following options:
• Press Up Arrow to decrease
the leading.
• Press Down Arrow to increase
the leading.
The leading changes by the increment
set in the Size/Leading text box in the
General Preferences dialog box .
To change the alignment of a selected
paragraph from the keyboard:
• For left alignment, press
Shift+L.
• For Center alignment, press
Shift+C.
• For right alignment, press
Shift+R.
• For justified alignment, press
Shift+J.
• To justify the last line, press
Shift+B.
