To specify leading before a paragraph:

Choose one of two options:
• To apply leading to a single paragraph
in text, click the type tool anywhere in
the paragraph.
• To apply leading to all paragraphs in
a type container, use the
selection tool
to select the entire type container.

Choose Type > Paragraph.

Enter a value in the Leading Before
Paragraph text box.

Press the Enter key or Tab key.
