Using the paint swatches
You can use the scrolling list of paint
swatches on the left of the Paint Style
palette to store up to 225 colors in the
palette. The paint swatches you define
are saved with the document. This
feature lets you create customized
sets of paint for different documents.
The default set of swatches is defined in
the
startup file
.
Paint Style swatches can store custom
and process colors, blends, and pat-
terns. Clicking a paint swatch displays
that color’s name below the list of
swatches.
To define a set of paint swatches:
1
Choose a color, gradient fill, or
pattern using the procedures described
in
Setting paint attributes
.
2
Choose one of the following options:
• Drag the new color, gradient fill, or
pattern from the Fill or Stroke box to any
paint swatch.
