To draw a rectangle or oval by
specifying dimensions:

Select any rectangle or oval tool.

Click where you want to begin creat-
ing the shape. The beginning point is
the center for a centered object, or a
corner of a rectangle or side of an oval.
The Rectangle dialog box displays the
dimensions of the last drawn rectangle
or oval. The units of measure are deter-
mined by
defining ruler units
in the
Document Setup or General Preferences
dialog box.

Enter the rectangle’s width in the
Width text box.
Note:
To create a square or circle, enter
a value in the Width text box, and then
click the word Height; this copies the
width value to the Height text box.

In the Height text box, enter the
height you want the shape to be.
If you are drawing a rounded rectangle,
enter its corner radius value, which
represents the radius of a hypothetical
circle drawn in the corner of the
