Cropping an image with the Source Rectangle

Use the Source Rectangle in the Source view to crop an image.

The cropped image is resized according to the dimensions of the Desti
nation Rectangle in the Destination view.
To crop an image using precise coordinates

In the Preview, Destination view, or Source view, position the time cursor on the right edge of the image that you
want to crop.

In the X and Y boxes for the Source Rectangle in the Transition Inspector, enter the coordinates for the upper left
corner of the Source Rectangle.

In the Width and Height boxes for the Source Rectangle, enter dimensions in pixels.
To resize and reposition an image

Click the Destination View button
to display the Destination view.

Position the time cursor on the right edge of the image that you want to resize or reposition.

Do any of the following:
•
To resize an image, drag the Destination Rectangle’s resize handles to the dimensions you want the image to appear
in the presentation display window.
•
To reposition an image, drag the Destination Rectangle to the location where you want the image to appear in the
presentation display window.
