LABRADOR RETRIEVERS
BACKGROUND
The Labrador Retriever first appeared as a
breed in England in the late 1800’s. A
descendant of working dogs brought to
Europe from Newfoundland, the Lab is a
relative of other retrievers, such as the
Golden Retriever, the Flat-Coated
Retriever, and the Chesapeake Bay
Retriever. The Lab’s generous tempera-
ment and intelligence make it a favorite for
breeders, who often cross the Lab with
other breeds to produce dogs with a combi-
nation of desirable traits. One interesting
result of such cross-breeding is the Labra-
doodle, the curly-coated product of the Lab
and the Standard Poodle, and sure to
attract attention on any dog walk. Tradi-
Often considered one of the most
perfect companions for people of
all ages.
FrameMaker 7.0 includes several
powerful editing tools: the Find/Change
command (for finding and changing text
and other items), a spelling checker
(which can find and correct misspelled
words and common typing errors), and a
thesaurus (which defines words and
provides synonyms, antonyms, and
related words). To save typing and ensure
consistency, you can use variables for
words or phrases that appear in multiple
places in a document.
