Board test
To test if the PC board is correctly installed, a self-test of the board can be run using a short-circuit plug
(for RS232, RS422 and TTY) and the
MTTTY
test program.
NOTICE!
For the self-test of the RS485 standard, no short-circuit plug is
needed.
3.6.1
Connecting the short-circuit plug
The short-circuit plug is used to set up a connection between the output signals (data transmission)
and the input signals (data reception) in order to test the serial communication.
