 22. Position the 5-pin relay on the relay bracket, and

install one 6 x 12 mm flange bolt and the flange
nut. Tighten the bolt securely.

 23. Position the relay bracket on the cruise control

unit bracket, and secure it with the other 6 x 12
mm flange bolt. Tighten the bolt securely.

 24. Locate the 4- and 6-pin connectors blue-taped to

the vehicle harness, and remove the blue tape to
free the connectors. Before connecting it, remove
the short connector from the 6-pin connector; plug
this connector into the relay.

 25. Remove the bolt that fastens the bottom of the

cruise control unit bracket, insert the end of a
flat-tip screwdriver to release the lock, and
disconnect the 14-pin connectors of the vehicle
harness under the bracket. Connect the security
system wire harness 14-pin connector (marked C)
in between the 14-pin connectors you just
disconnected.

NOTE: If the vehicle you’re working on is not
equipped with cruise control, the 14-pin connector
is attached to the kick panel.

 26. Between the two connectors, secure the security

system wire harness to  the vehicle harness with
one short wire tire, as shown.

 27. Reinstall the cruise control unit bracket and

tighten the bolt.
