Check the PCM Idle Learn Procedure
To ensure a steady engine idle, make sure the PCM idle learn procedure has been completed.
NOTES
•
Doing the engine oil level check will also complete the PCM idle learn procedure. The PCM will memorize the
learning status after leaving the vehicle off for
1 hour
after checking the oil level.
•
This procedure must also be done after updating or replacing the PCM. It does not need to be done after clearing
DTCs.

19.4. Scroll down to
Idle Learning (Torque)
. The value should read
COMPLETED
.
If the PCM idle learn procedure is not complete, do the PCM Idle Learn Procedure in the service information.
19.1. Start the engine with the transmission in Park, and make sure all electrical items (A/C, audio unit, rear window
defogger, lights, etc.) are turned off.
19.2. Hold the engine speed at
3,000 rpm
until the radiator fan turns on or until the engine coolant reaches
194° F (90°
C)
.
19.3. Let the engine idle for
5 minutes
with the throttle fully closed.
19.4. Turn the ignition to OFF.
19.5. Wait
1 hour,
then re-check the idle learn status using the i-HDS.

While watching the display, tune to several channels within the full channel lineup. The dealer demo service is activated
when you can tune to all of the channels.
