Upon Purchase
Your new Active Era Camping Pad has been stored tightly rolled since production and may
take longer than normal to inflate its first time out of the packaging. Unroll your Camping
Pad on a flat surface with the bottom valve open. Let the pad self-inflate, then over-inflate
with several breaths, close the valve and store overnight. This only needs to be done the first
time you inflate the product. Inflation speed will continue to improve during subsequent
inflation/deflation cycles.
Inflate
Note - Winter Use: If you are using the pad in freezing conditions for an extended period of
time, avoid using breath inflation. Moisture from your breath may accumulate and freeze
inside your pad. Self-inflation is recommended under extremely cold conditions and may take
longer than normal.
Deflate
Storage
The Camping Pad foam tends to retain the shape it holds most often. Therefore, it is
recommended that you store the pad unrolled, filled with air and in a dry place, with its valve
open. Your pad will self-inflate faster if stored unrolled.
Cleaning
Regular cleaning is recommended to prevent stains or other materials from prematurely
degrading your Camping Pad. Before cleaning, inflate the pad so that it is as firm as possible
and close the valve. Wash by hand using a soft bristle brush and any mild household
degreasing cleaner or mild detergent. Rinse well. Leave unrolled until dry. Do not store wet.

1. Un-roll the Camping Pad and open the valve. Allow the pad to inflate (how long the
pad has been rolled up for determines self-inflation time). Close valve.
Adjust air pressure for comfort. For softer support, gently squeeze out a little air. For
firmer support, inflate by mouth.
Fully open the valve and fold the pad in half. Start rolling from the opposite end of the
valve forcing air towards and out of the valve.
Once rolled, apply some more pressure to remove any remaining air and then close the
valve. Pack away in the carry bag.
