Access the IPStor Express Manager
You can access the Web-based management interface (the IPStor
Express Manager) to add users, create shared folders, and perform
other tasks related to managing your storage system. There are two
ways to access the IPStor Express Manager:
• Using the Storage System Console
Using the Storage System Console, you can access the IPStor
Express Manager only from a computer in the same subnet as the
storage system, but you do not have to know the name or
IP address of the storage system or otherwise modify the network
settings.
• Using a Web browser
Using a Web browser, you can access the IPStor Express Manager
from any computer in your network, but you must know the name
or IP address of the storage system. In addition, if you configured
the storage system to use a specific IP address, you might need to
specify the IP address of the gateway in your network before you
can successfully access the IPStor Express Manager using a Web
browser. First access the IPStor Express Manager using the Storage
System Console and then specify the gateway address (as described
in “Changing the network settings” on page 167.) and try to access
it using a Web browser.
