1-13. NTR Clock Recovery
NTR clock recovery is supported over SHDSL only. NTR has higher frequency
accuracy than adaptive clock recovery.
TDM over ATM Functionality
ACE-3105, ACE-3205 allows certain types of CBR or circuit traffic to be carried
over ATM or packet-switched networks. As ATM is essentially a packet oriented
transmission technology and not a circuit oriented transmission technology,
ACE-3105, ACE-3205 emulates circuit characteristics over ATM in order to offer
the required service for CBR traffic.
In ACE-3105, ACE-3205, the following CES modes are supported:
•
Adaptation Layer 1 (AAL1), complies with ITU-T I.363.1
•
CES CBR service, according to ATM Forum AF-VTOA-0078 (CES 2.0)
•
Unstructured CES, according to AF-VTOA-0078. Unstructured CES supports
only one CES connection per E1/T1 port
•
Configurable CDVT buffer in range of 1–32 milliseconds
•
AAL1 reassembly implementing Fast SN algorithm as specified in ITU-T I.363.1
•
Dummy cell insertion with conditioning pattern for lost cells or at under-run
events
•
No partially filled cells
•
CES clock is derived from the ATM network (no SRTS or adaptive mode).
•
CES over packet-switched networks.
