Connecting to a Remote DSL Modem Device
In addition to the DSL links, ACE-3105, ACE-3205 can interconnect with a remote
DSL modem device.

To set connectivity with a remote DSL modem:

From the Applications menu (see
, select Remote DSL Modem.
The Remote DSL Modem menu is displayed as illustrated in.

ID of the remote DSL modem. Up to two
modems can be defined.

IP Address
IP address of the DSL modem.
Note:
•
The IP address cannot be the same as
the router interface IP.
•
The type of the local router’s interface
must be set to Ethernet.
•
Multicast, broadcast, all ones and all
zeros are not allowed.
•
The IP address can be changed
dynamically (on the fly).
0.0.0.0 –
255.255.255.255
Command
The operation can be performed by the
remote DSL modem device: Device reset,
software download or no operation.
