These instructions MUST be given to
the user of the product.
USER:
BEFORE using this product, read this
manual and save for the future reference.
General
Signal words are used in this manual and apply to
hazards or unsafe practices which could result in
personal injury or property damage. See the

Caution indicates a potentially

result in property damage or minor injury or both.
Product Description
The Accora 400 and 600 mattresses are multi-
tiered pressure redistribution mattresses with high
density head / torso sections. The mattress
incorporates an air channel heel section, firm
mattress edges and a 4 way stretch top cover.
Clinical Applications
Accora 400 is indicated for users up to 350 lbs.
Accora 600 is indicated for users up to 450 lbs.
Suitability for the mattress must be assessed by a
competent practitioner.
Instructions for use
1. Remove all packaging.
2. Lay the mattress onto the bed frame, ensuring
there are no sharp edges which may tear the
cover.
3. Do not use the mattress without a cover as it
provides a protective barrier which helps
extend the life of the product.
4. Ensure the mattress is orientated with the silk
screen text facing upwards and the feet
graphic at the foot end of the bed.
Decontamination
WARNING
Mattresses MUST be cleaned regularly after
each patient use. Because of the potential
risk of infectious exposure, cleaning with
the patient on the bed is not recommended.
All equipment should be inspected. Any
item that is visibly soiled with the patient’s
blood or other body fluids should be
properly
cleaned
or
removed.
Staff
members should treat all soiled bedding as
if it were contaminated with pathogenic
microorganisms. Staff members should
wear appropriate protective clothing when
cleaning mattresses. All cleaning solutions
must be properly diluted according to the
manufacturer’s
instructions.
Follow
standard institutional wipe down and
infection control procedures. DO NOT open
the zippered mattress top cover during
cleaning, infection control procedures or
during use. DO NOT launder or autoclave
mattress covers.
To clean the mattress
1. Remove all bedding.
2. Clean the top and bottom covers with an
organic cleaner or soapy water.
3. Wipe down the mattress unit with a damp
cloth, pre-soaked with warm water containing
a mild detergent. Approved intermediate level
disinfectants may be used according to the
cover material.
4. After cleaning, please avoid dust and
proximity to dusty areas. All parts should be
air dried thoroughly before use.
