9.1 Maintenance intervals
The specified intervals are standard values and refer to single-shift operation. We recommend recording the
inspections. The date of the inspection, the detected defects and the name of the inspector must be recorded.
The following maintenance schedule represents the absolute minimum required. Maintenance at more
frequent intervals is necessary if the device is operated under harsh ambient conditions. Replace damaged
parts immediately.

11 Disassembly
For the disassembly and disposal of the device, observe the information provided in the following section:

► Remove all cables (power cable and, if necessary, the wire feeder cable) from the device.
► Remove the welding torch.
► Disconnect optional accessories.

Clean the device.
► Clean the device with a wire brush and scour with compressed air to
remove weld spatter.
► If necessary, replace any heavily soiled components.
► Clean welding dust and metal swarf from base plates.
► Clean the rollers of guide arms/roller units and check their ability to run.
Check that the assembly is
secure.
► Check that the welding torch mount, handle, base plate, guide arm and
screws are securely attached and, if necessary, retighten them.
► Check that all connections are secure.
Check function.
► Check that the control elements are functioning correctly.
► Check all cables and plastic sheaths for damage and soiling, and
replace if necessary.
As needed
Replace any loosely attached
or defective components.
► Have speed controllers and travel direction and weld start signal switches
replaced by professionals.
► Have any damaged cables replaced by professionals.

CAUTION
Risk of injury due to unexpected start
If the device is energised during maintenance, cleaning or disassembly work, rotating parts may
unexpectedly start up and cause crushing.
► Switch off the device.
► Disconnect all electrical connections.
