Instructions:

Note: In most cases, the supply wiring will be fed through the round opening

in the back of the box.

1.  Before mounting box, close any unused openings with round threaded

plugs. Coat threads liberally with silicone sealing compound. Insert into
unused openings and tighten firmly (Figure 1).

2.  Select two of the four small holes in the back of the box that best suit your

installation and attach the mounting lugs using the 1/4" long screws. For
most applications, lugs will be mounted diagonally from each other
(Figure 2).

3.  Feed the supply wires into the box (Figure 3). Attach the box to the surface

using 1" long screws (not supplied).

4.  Attach the supply wires to the screw terminals on the wiring device (GFCI)

by wrapping the wire clockwise around the screw and tightening the screw
using a screwdriver. Attach ground wire to the green screw terminal. Attach
white supply wire to the silver screw terminal, and the black supply wire to
the brass screw terminal (Figure 4).

5.  Push all wiring into the outlet box. Then attach the receptacle to the box

installing the screws provided through the elongated slots (Figure 5).

6.  Remove the center section of the rectangular gasket (Figure 6).
7.  Place the gasket on the back of the cover plate. Insert the mounting screws

through the hole in the cover plate and gasket. Align the mounting screws
with the holes in the box. Attach the cover plate to the box (Figure 7).

8.  Cover plate must be attached with hinge facing up.
9.  Cover must be closed while in use to be in compliance with the standards of

the National Electrical Code®.

10.  Lift the cover up to unlock and then pull out and up to open the cover.
