Converter is
ready for
start-up
The auxiliary power feeding of the converter is switched ON.
The temperature limit switch (T1) inside the Converter Control Unit
(CCU) monitors the cubicle inside temperature.
– IF the temperature stays below the limit setting, the cubicle
space heater is switched ON.
– IF the temperature stays above the limit setting, the cubicle
space heater is switched OFF, respectively remains
switched OFF.
The combination of the temperature limit switch (T2) and the
humidity limit switch (H1) monitors the dew conditions inside the
converter control unit.
– IF the temperature stays below the limit setting OR the humidity
stays above the limit setting, the feeding of the auxiliary power
to all other components of the Control Unit stays OFF.
– IF the temperature stays above the limit setting AND the
humidity stays below the limit setting, the feeding of the
auxiliary power to all other components of the Control Unit is
switched ON.
After the auxiliary power of the Converter Control Unit is switched
ON the converter control system starts up and is now able to do
the converter control.
The controller is now monitoring the dew conditions of the
Converter Cabinet by a PT100 temperature sensor and a
humidity sensor.
– IF dew conditions are detected:
• Heat exchanger bypass valve gets fully OPEN to minimum
cooling and other things
• Cooling pump is switched ON
– IF dew conditions are not detected:
• Cooling pump is switched OFF, respectively remains
switched OFF
• Feeding of the auxiliary power of all other components is
switched ON.
• Converter will now start-up completely and enters the
converter OFF-mode state.
