2.2.1. Software installation
Install RobotStudio and RobotWare
Installation of RobotStudio and RobotWare on a PC is described in Operating manual -
Getting started, IRC5 and RobotStudio.
Create a MultiMove system
Creating a new system is described in Operating manual - RobotStudio. What is specific for
a MultiMove system is that in the dialog Enter Drive Keys, more than one key should be
used (one for each drive module).

Automatic configurations at installation
When creating a system, some configurations are automatically set up according to
information from the keys you enter. For each robot, the following are created:

Task
•
Mechanical Unit Group
•
Mechanical Unit
•
Motion Planner

Action
1. In the Enter Drive Key box, enter the key for the drive module. You can also click the
Browse button and browse to the key file.
2. Click the right arrow button next to the Enter Drive Key box. The key now appears in
the Added Drive Keys list.
3. Repeat step 1 and 2 for each drive key to add.
4. Make sure that the keys are numbered in the same way as their corresponding drive
modules are connected to the control module (see picture in
). Use the up and down arrows to rearrange the drive keys, if necessary.
