1.3.3 First test run may cause injury or damage
Description
After installation and performing service activities, there are several safety risks
to take into consideration before the first test run.
Safe handling
Use this procedure when performing the first test run after installation, maintenance,
or repair.
DANGER
Running the robot without fulfilling the following aspects, may involve a risk of
injury and cause severe damage to the robot.
Action
Remove all tools and foreign objects from the robot and its working area.

Verify that the robot is properly secured to its position by all screws, before it is powered
up.

Verify that any safety equipment installed to secure the position or restrict the robot
motion during service activity is removed.

Verify that the fixture and work piece are well secured, if applicable.

Install all safety equipment properly.

Make sure all personnel are standing at a safe distance from the robot, and is out of
its reach behind safety fences, or similar.

If maintenance or repair has been done, pay special attention to the function of the
part that was serviced.

Collision risks
CAUTION
When programming the movements of the robot, always identify potential collision
risks before the first test run.
