This section is only valid for IRB 2600-20/1.65, IRB 2600-12/1.65, IRB 2600-12/1.85,
IRB 2600ID-15/1.85, IRB 2600ID-8/2.0.
Introduction to the expansion container
The expansion container is needed on suspended robots (IRB 2600-20/1.65, IRB
2600-12/1.65, IRB 2600-12/1.85, IRB 2600ID-15/1.85, IRB 2600ID-8/2.0) to make
sure that the amount of oil in gearbox axis 1 covers all important parts. Robots
ordered as suspended robots have the expansion container installed on delivery.
If a manipulator delivered for floor mounting is planned to be mounted in suspended
position, an expansion container must be installed.
Note
IRB 2600-20/1.65 type C, IRB 2600-12/1.65 type C are not valid for inverted
mounting.
