Prepare the foundation for the power cabinet
7.1.1
Prepare a foundation for the power cabinet - general procedure
1. Use the correct foundation. Make sure that the foundation is suitable for the
surface on which the cabinet is installed:
a. Concrete foundation on soil.
b. Metal frame foundation on a solid floor.
c. Custom foundation on a solid floor.
2. Embed the cables in the ground with or without a cable duct. Refer to the local
rules.
3. Prepare the selected foundation type for the power cabinet.

Prepare a foundation for the power cabinet (concrete)
Preliminary requirements

Open spanner

Prefab concrete foundation.

Two cover plates.

Six fasteners M16 (for the
top cover plate)
•
Four fasteners M12 (for the
front cover plate)
Warning:
Risk of pinching or crushing, the foundation is heavy

Obey the safety instructions that apply to the hoisting equipment.
Take into account the dimensions, and mass of the foundation. Refer
to section

Cover the foundation with cover plates.
Procedure
1. Dig the hole (B) for the foundation (A).
For the specifications, refer to section
Caution: Make sure that the
top surface of the
foundation is above the
ground level, to prevent
intrusion of water.
2. Guide the cables to the locations (C)
corresponding the openings (D) in the
foundation.
3. Install the foundation in the hole.
