Gas Inlet and Outlet Conditions,

Sample Gas
Dew Point
The sample gas dew point should be at least 5 °C below the lowest ambient
temperature throughout the sample gas path. Otherwise a sample gas cooler or
condensate trap is required. Water vapor content variations cause volume errors.
Corrosive Gases
The EL6010 gas analyzers must not be used for the measurement of corrosive
gases. Gases like chlorine (Cl
2
) and hydrogen chloride (e.g. wet HCl) as well as
gases or aerosols containing chlorine must be cooled or undergo prior absorption.
Gas Outlet Conditions
The outlet pressure must not exceed the inlet pressure by more than the pressure
loss across the analyzer.
