“General” parameter window
In the “General” parameter window the basic settings of the 1-fold DALI-
Gateway DG/S 1.1 can be made which affect the gateway with both
outputs/channels and all connected DALI devices.
Reaction on DALI or EIB bus voltage failure
Option:
no change
max. brightness value
min. brightness value
Off
With this parameter, you determine how the connected DALI equipment
on channel A and B reacts if failure of the EIB / KNX bus voltage or DALI
voltage means that communication with the DALI devices is no longer
possible. In addition to the “no change” and “Off” states, the “max.
brightness value” and “min. brightness value” are available. These
parameters can be parameterised in the “Device” parameter window of
the corresponding DALI device. The “Off” setting switches all DALI
devices off.
The “no change” setting leaves the brightness of the device unchanged in
the event of a voltage failure. As the information (no change) is stored in
the ballast, all DALI devices react immediately to the voltage failure. The
time functions such as dynamic operation and burn-in time are not carried
out.
The operating voltage on DALI equipment (e.g. ballasts) is a
prerequisite for correct behaviour of the DALI devices.
Note: The DALI-Gateway generates a DALI voltage for up to 64 devices
per channel as soon as the operating voltage is applied to the gateway. If
the operating voltage fails, the DALI voltage will also fail.
It is important to note that an additionally connected external
DALI power supply connected to the DALI-Gateway can
destroy the gateway.
