CE marking
A CE mark is attached to the converter to verify that the converter follows the provisions of
the European Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (previously 2006/95/EC) and EMC Directive
2014/30/EU (previously 2004/108/EC).
■
Compliance with the European Low Voltage Directive
The compliance with the European Low Voltage Directive has been verified according to
standard EN 61800-5-1 and applicable parts of standard EN 60204-1.
■
Compliance with the European EMC Directive
See section
Compliance with EN 61800-3:2004/A1:2012 (page 100)
.
Compliance with the European Machinery Directive
Note:
In standard texts, the term 'drive' stands for 'converter' in case of wind turbine
applications.
The drive is an electronic product which is covered by the European Low Voltage Directive.
The drive is equipped with a main circuit breaker which can be used in safety functions for
machinery. These safety functions are in the scope of the Machinery Directive as safety
components, and appropriate harmonized standards (EN ISO 13849 or EN 62061) shall be
applied.
