104   Maintenance

Memory unit

When a drive module is replaced, the parameter settings can be retained by transferring 
the memory unit from the defective drive module to the new module. The memory unit is 
located in the JCU Control Unit, see page 

24

.

WARNING!

 Do not remove or insert a memory unit when the drive module is 

powered.

After power-up, the drive will scan the memory unit. If

 

different parameter settings are 

detected, they are copied to the drive. This may take a few moments.
