Supported motor types
MACHsense-R supports the following motor types:
• Standard 3-phase induction motor: > 355 frame size
• Cast-iron or rib-cooled frame motor.
Required tools
Make sure the below listed materials and auxiliary installation tools are available
in addition to the items provided in the package to setup the MACHsense-R. The
materials are not included in the scope of supply from ABB. You must procure or
arrange them on your own. For list of materials included in the package, see
Package contents (page 21) .
• Power supply cable • Glue: LOCTITE® AA 326
• SIM card • Activator: LOCTITE® SF 7649
• Cable stripper • Surface cleaner: LOCTITE® SF 7061
• Wire stripper • Wire ferrules
• Expansion plug for mounting DAU: 8 mm • Crimping tool for wire ferrules
• Tie wraps • Drilling bit: 8 mm
• Bladed screwdriver: size
0.8 x 4.0 x 100 mm or similar • Hand drill
• Philips - head screwdriver: size
PH12 x 100 m or similar
Note: Review each DAU installation because some DAU mounting methods may
require additional items, for example, mounting rails with clamps or expansion
plugs.
