Runout noises

Rotor rubbing
Check clearances (see chapter Radial clearances N
and R). If clearances are outside the tolerance or if
in doubt, contact an ABB Turbocharging Service
Station.
Foreign object in the tur-
bocharger
Dismantle turbocharger (see chapter Fitting and
dismantling). In case of damage, replace the cor-
responding parts or contact an ABB Turbochar-
ging Service Station.

Runout time too short
The runout time must be noted down as a reference. Because the runout time depends on
the oil viscosity, the runout time must always be measured at the same oil temperature.
If the runout time is significantly shorter in comparison to a previous measurement, the fol-
lowing table must be observed.
