This turning device is for the most part already prepared to be mounted by the
manufacturer. Should this not be the case, please attach the turning device as
follows:
1. Open the locking bolt on the column and remove the handle unit.
2. Slide the turning device upward on the column until it locks at the upper
locking point (1).
Attention: the turning device must be in this position any time you are climbing
up or down stairs!
3. Now put the handle unit with the attached turning device back onto the
power unit and lock the column with the locking knob. Make sure that the
locking knob is tight.
4. As soon as the handle unit is well attached to the power unit and the turning
device is locked in the upper position, you may turn on the s-max. Press the
Up/Down switch, direction “up”, until the running wheels are approximately
2-3 cm in the air.
