To connect IP i7xx range sets
IP sets are connected to the LAN using an RJ45 connector and a category 5 cable, with 2 RJ45
connectors at each end. The cord is not supplied with the set.
Set of 10 Ethernet cables: HT1455A.
The set can operate in two Ethernet modes, 10 base T and 100 base TX.
12.2.4
Power supply for i7xx range sets
12.2.4.1 Introduction:
Power can be supplied to i740, i760 and i780 sets in one of two ways:
•
Remote supply via Ethernet,
•
External power supply from a mains power supply unit (PN1120A for the i780 set, PN1121A for
the i760 set, and PN1121D for i740/i740N sets).
If both supply methods are used, power will be supplied by the one that was connected first:
•
If the power supply unit is connected first, it supplies power to the set,
•
If the network cable that provides the remote power supply is connected before the power
supply unit, it supplies the set.
12.2.4.2 Remote supply of i7xx range sets via the ethernet network
For the connector positions, refer to the user guides and quick reference guides for each set.
Attention :According to the manufacturer, remote supply distribution is different through the RJ45
network connector.
i740N set:
These sets are compliant with standard IEEE802.3 af. Remote power supply is possible once the
switch to which is attached is in line with this standard.
This standard comprises a classification according to the sets' consumption: the i740N set
corresponds to class 1.
Other i7xx range sets:
Two references are recommended:
