Global SIP Settings
Description
The IP phone uses the information in the Global Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) settings to
register at the IP PBX.
The IP phone configuration defines network and user account parameters that apply
globally
to all
SIP lines. Since not all SIP lines are necessarily hosted using the same IP-PBX/server or user
account, additional sets of
per-line
parameters can also be defined for network and user account.
You configure and modify these parameters and associated values using the configuration files, the
IP phone UI, or the Aastra Web UI. The Aastra Web UI and configuration file methods configure
global and per-line SIP settings on the IP phone. The IP phone UI configures global SIP settings
only.
On the IP Phones, you can configure Basic and Advanced SIP Settings. The Basic SIP Settings
include authentication and network settings. The Advanced SIP Settings include other features you
can configure on the IP Phone.
