Warning
Transient overvoltage can occur on the mains and on the communica-
tions network.
Protect each line installation leading from the building by using one
surge voltage protector per core at the isolating point (main) distribution
frame or entry point into the building.
Operation on an IT current distribution system:
The communication server can be operated on an IT power distribution system as
per EN/IEC 60950 with voltages of up to 230 VAC.

Connecting the earthing wire
The communication server’s earthing connection is located on the rear panel of the
communications server next to the mains power socket. The earthing wire is se-
cured using a screw and a spring washer.
