– Tighten the screw cap of the turbine hose hang-tightly (Fig.6-11②).
– Assemble the medical device accurately on the LED coupling until the coupling audibly locks in the medical device (Fig.6-11③).
6.5.2 Removing the medical device
– Hold the LED coupling tightly, slide the lock ring (Fig.6-12④).
– Pull the medical device off (Fig. 6-12⑤).

Fig. 6-12
NOTE
Rotate the spray ring on the LED coupling in order to regulate the fraction of water when the LED coupling NSK® is mounted. Recommended water
amount should be more than 50 ml/min.
7. Checking the pressure
Insert a test nanometer between the LED coupling and the medical device, check the following pressure:
– Drive air pressure (Standard head): 220 ± 10% kPa (2.2 ± 10 kgf/cm²)
– Drive air pressure (Torque head): 250 ± 10% kPa (2.5 ± 10 kgf/cm²)
– Return air pressure: ≤15 kPa (0.15 ± 10 kgf/cm²)
– Spray air pressure: 220 ± 10% kPa (2.2 ± 10 kgf/cm²)
– Spray water pressure: 200 ± 10% kPa (2.0 ± 10 gf/cm²)
NOTE
Make sure that the compressed air is dry, clean and uncontaminated in accordance to the Instructions for Use and set the pressure as per recom-
mended value.
CAUTION
– If the compressed air is dirty and moist, it will cause premature deterioration of the rotor and premature wear of the bearings in the medical device.
– It is necessary to drain off water from the compressed air every day in order to protect the compressed air from moisture.
– Ensure a regular care and maintenance of the compressor and air-water fi ltering system.
– Ensure that the medical device is with dry, clean and uncontaminated air in accordance to ISO 7494-2.
