Preparing the chamber

The following steps are a suggested guideline for
preparing the system to build parts:

1

Prepare

 the RCM

 for loading.

2

Roll the RCM into the void under the

s

Pro. Be sure that the RCM is fully seated in

the void.

3

Connect the power umbilical from the
machine to the RCM.

4

Close the front access panel.

5

Open Sinter>ManOps>Piston Control and
select Load.

6

Once the RCM has loaded, select Home
Piston and home the part piston in the RCM.

7

Once the piston has homed, open Roller and
home the roller.

8

Once the roller is homed, open Inert and
activate the inerting process.

9

While the machine is inerting, begin leveling
powder. Open Level Powder. Set the Roller
Rotation Ratio to 4, and the Feed Roller
setting to 0.7. Specify the number of cycles,
normally 12 at a minimum, and begin
leveling powder.

10

Pay attention to the O2 level in the machine.
Once it has reached the set-point of 5.5%,
open the Heater control function and
activate all of the heaters.

11

Once the powder has been leveled, and if the
next build has not yet been set-up, minimize
the Sinter application and all of the sub-
functions (DO NOT CLOSE), open Build Set-
Up (see section on Performing Build Set-Up),
complete the Build Set-Up, and close the
function.

12

Open Sinter back up. Select the blue Exit
button and continue selecting until you are
back in the main Sinter screen.

13

Select Build>Start Build, confirm the correct
material is loaded, and select Start.

14

When the prompt appears on the Sinter
screen to Push Start Button, physically push
the green Start button on the machine.

15

Once the O2 level and pre-heat set-points for
the heaters have been reached, the roller
should begin adding powder layers.
