SLS® system
machine contains several
contactors.
Cross Fill Scan
An advanced
part profile
parameter that alternates the scanning
direction between X and Y every layer. You
must purchase a
Sinterscan
license to use this
parameter.
curl
an SLS part defect;
part
warping due to
uneven heating or cooling. There are two
types of curl: “in-
build
curl” and “post-
build
curl.” In-
build
curl happens when the hot
laser beam
hits a cold (or insufficiently
preheated)
part bed
. Post-
build
curl happens
when different regions of a
part
cool down at
different rates. Controlled cooldown helps
prevent post-build curl.
