Reactivating Powder Transfers
Follow the steps in this section to reactivate
powder transfers if they were disabled by the
due to:
`
Invalid IPC
`
An IRS bin weight changes unexpectedly (at
anytime other than during a powder
transfer).
Both of these conditions display error conditions
on the IRS operator panel. If you suspect one of
these error occurred, but don’t see an error
message, press
repeatedly display and scroll
the list of recent IRS error messages.
REACTIVATION AFTER INVALID IPC RFID ERROR
After the IRS detects an invalid IPC RFID tag, you
must do the following to reactivate powder
transfers:
1
Disconnect the IRS umbilical.
2
Connect the umbilical to a valid IPC that’s not
empty.
Please Load Used Powder or
Change Percent Virgin
Used Powder is needed to mix
another blended powder batch.
The IRS will continue to feed the
Sinterstations it services until the
Blender is empty.
Load used powder into the IRS
using the BOS.
Blender Unexpectedly Full
The Blender High Level sensor
indicates a full bin, but the bin
weight does not. The IRS will blend
the contents proportioned up to
this point and continue to feed the
Sinterstations it services.
Determine which is accurate and
correct the situation. The blend
will be incorrect, but close to the
desired percentage. Since it is
blended in with the prior contents
of the blender, it should not cause
problems in the build.
