This chapter describes how to install a VCX IP Telephony Server which
runs these services.

Where Used
An IP Telephony Server is used wherever all VCX services except IP
Messaging are required on a single server. To determine where this server
can be used in your configuration, contact your Voice Authorized 3Com
Representative.
Sample Configuration
Scripts
In either the single office or branch office situation, IP Telephony Servers
are installed on IBM X346 machines. The sample configuration scripts in
this chapter describes how to configure an IP Telephony Server in a single
office (5,000 users) or a branch office.
