Stage 1: Obtaining the ISO Image
In order to obtain an updated ISO image, either download it from the 3Com website as
described in
Downloading an updated LinuxTM Redhat ISO Image
, or create it using the
steps detailed in
Creating an updated Linux Redhat ISO Image
.
Downloading an updated LinuxTM Redhat ISO Image
To download an ISO image from the 3Com website, follow these 5 steps:

, navigate to the Support page.

Login with your Username and Password.

Under Product Documentation, select the V6100 link and click on V6100 OSN Server.

Select Linux Boot Image and select the installation you need.

Download the ISO image to a folder called Partner Install on your PC.

Continue with Stage 3 – Burn the CD (
Stage 3: Burn the CD
).
Creating an updated Linux Redhat ISO Image
To create an updated Linux Redhat ISO Image follow these 7 steps

On the local hard disk of the Window’s™ PC, create a new folder called “Partner Install”.

If you have not already done so, download a utility that allows editing of an ISO image.
The WinISO™ program (
http://www.winiso.com/download.htm
) may be used.

Using Internet Explorer, download a Unix File Format text editor. PSPad™
(
http://www.pspad.com/
) or UltraEdit™ (
http://www.ultraedit.com/
) may be used.

Insert the 1st installation disk of the Linux™ Redhat distribution into the CD-ROM drive of
the Windows™ PC. The Windows Explorer screen appears displaying files currently on
the CD.
