In the
Routing
Index drop-down list, select the range of entries that you want to edit (up
to 24 entries can be configured).

Trunk Group ID
field, enter the Trunk Group ID number.

Channel
Select
Mode
drop-down list, select the Channel Select Mode that
determines the method in which new calls are assigned to B-channels within the Trunk
groups entered in the field to the right of this field. For information on available Channel
Select Modes, see
Table 34
.

Repeat Steps 4 and 5, for each defined Trunk group.

button to save your changes.

Channel Select Modes
Mode Description
By phone number
Select the gateway port according to the called number (see the note).
Cyclic Ascending
Select the next available channel in an ascending cycle order. Always
select the next higher channel number in the Trunk Group. When the
gateway reaches the highest channel number in the Trunk Group, it
selects the lowest channel number in the Trunk Group and then starts
ascending again (default).
Ascending
Select the lowest available channel. Always start at the lowest channel
number in the Trunk Group and if that channel is not available, select
the next higher channel.
