Lift Induction Loop Amplifier
Instructions for Use
Product Description
The device is a part of sound system installations for hearing impaired persons that are equipped with
a special hearing aid capable of receiving reproduced sound via a magnetic field receiver. This version
of the product is dedicated particularly for installations in lift cabin. Part of delivery is the induction loop
for the lift cabin roof and cable for connection to lift communicators produced by 2N Telekomunikace.
The system is defined by the IEC 60118-4 standard. The device is delivered with one input (ordering
number 919621E) or dual input (919622E), to allow connection of another sound source.
Installation
Open the box for amplifier using the space for flat bladed screwdriver on the side of the box.
Depending on cable connection cut out holes in the bottom of the box or in the cover. For standard
installation suffice to cut out marked area in the cover. Fix the bottom part of the box to the roof or the
wall of the lift cabin by self adhesive foil or screws. After connecting power and signal cable to the
terminals on the amplifier board push the board to the proper position in the bottom part of the box and
put the cover on the box. Finally connect the induction loop, delivered with the device, to the
connectors LOOP1 and LOOP2, eventually your own loop to terminal EXTERNAL ANTENNA.
The loop is made by RJ cable and has six loops connected in serial should be fixed behind the cabin
roof. The area of the loop should be as big as possible
, the loop shouldn’t be covered by metallic parts.
It can be placed in lights, behind ledges or similarly. If you use different loop than the delivered one,
connect it into the plug EXTERNAL ANTENNA on the amplifier board and use the cut for cables for the
connection. The loop should be done by few windings in serial connection (multicore cable can be
used) with proper dimension.
Connect the delivered signal cable to terminals marked IN+ and IN-, the connector on this cable suits
into the lift communicators 2N

Lift8. For connection to another device connect the input to
the speaker of the signal source in parallel. In dual input version the input signals are mixed.
For power connection use 12V DC. When the 12V power is not present, you can use the power
adaptor supplied by 2N Telekomunikace (ordering number 9159052). When using this power supply,
cut off the supply jack, A negative wire is marked with a white strip along the cable. Connect the power
to terminal 12V and GND on the amplifier board. The device is equipped with overvoltage
and power supply polarity reversal protection, but always make sure that the power supply voltage and
polarity values are met. The LED on is illuminated when the power is connected.
Amplifier Setting and Testing
The amplifier is pre-set for connection to 2N

®
Lift8, there is no need for setting. For
connection to another device you can set the gain of the amplifier by potentiometer VOLUME. When
you perform the volume setting, the test of functionality, volume and clarity of voice must be done by
appropriate receiver of the induction signal or by tester. The amplifier is switched on by input signal,
this function can be disabled
by jumper “Permanent on”.
