ISDN mode
•
Protocol
– GSM ISDN gateway has fixed protocol setting of
BRI1 and BRI2 ports. Port BRI1 is used for connecting of the
gateway as network termination and BRI2 for connecting of
the gateway as terminal equipment.

The
NT
mode means that the GSM gateway is set to operate
as a network termination with respect to the other ISDN
terminals on the given port. In addition to monitoring and
diagnostic functions, the GSM gateway provides access to
the D-channel and power supply to the other ISDN terminals
connected in this mode.
•
The
TE
mode sets the GSM gateway as common ISDN
terminal equipment.
•
Mode
– these items select whether gateway is connected in
Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multipoint mode. In addition it is
possible to set up TE port for receiving synchronization. Using
this mode is impossible to route calls through this port.
•
TEI port
– TEI (Terminal Endpoint Identifier) is a unique
ISDN terminal identifier. For manual assignment of this
identifier to an ISDN terminal, choose a value from 0 to 63,
where 0 is mostly used for the point-to-point configuration.
Setting this parameter to 64 results in automatic TEI
assignment to connected ISDN terminals in range of values 64
to 126. TEI = 127 is used for broadcast messages.

CRC –
CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) is a cyclic code
protection of messages damaged during transmission against
false evaluation. This parameter defines whether or not the
cyclic code check will be made on layer 2. The gateway
generates and transmits the CRC independently of this setting.
ISDN causes
Cause messages are sent to those terminals whose connection
request has been rejected. They contain causes of rejection. For
precise definitions of the messages refer to the ITU-T Q.931
recommendation. You can set the type of the message to be sent
for any of the following events:
